The results of a tummy tuck are visible almost immediately after the procedure is completed. However, it may take several months for your final results to be more completely evident.

Numbness and a firm feeling over the skin surface will resolve over the initial months of recovery. And, it may take a year or more for the incision lines to fade to some degree. Although scars are permanent, they are usually hidden by most clothing and swimsuits.

Your profile with a firm and flat abdomen is relatively permanent as long as you maintain your weight and general fitness. Remember that as you age, you may find some of the firmness will be lost.
